What type of services does The RainStar Therapy Center offer? [Show] [Hide]

The Therapy Center offers treatment for Chinese herbs, nutritional counseling and therapeutic massage with students or licensed practitioners. Licensed massage therapists offer a variety of modalities such as; reflexology, pregnancy massage, craniosacral therapy, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, eastern therapies, etc. Please inquire with the Therapy Center staff for more information about booking one of these specific therapies. What are the qualifications of my practitioner? [Show] [Hide]

In the Therapeutic Massage clinic, students have been studying from 3 to 18 months in a vast array of anatomy, massage technique, nutrition and movement, and massage skills and ethics courses. They are performing massage techniques that they are learning in class, while developing their own personal style of massage.

What should I expect during my first visit? [Show] [Hide]

All new patients are asked to complete a patient information form and health history. This questionnaire will include questions about your medical history, your family's medical history, and your lifestyle.

Therapeutic Massage Students are required to perform an assessment, prior to beginning any treatment, which may include plumline analysis, gait analysis, range of motion testing, palpation, and orthopedic testing. This may take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the individual.

How long are the appointments? [Show] [Hide]

Therapeutic Massage appointments can be anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. We ask that all new patients arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork. Approximately 10 minutes of every massage session is spent in student assessment and client readiness.

Does RainStar accept insurance? [Show] [Hide]

While we are unable to accept insurance at this time, patients will receive a receipt upon payment for reimbursement. The RainStar Therapy Center does accept cash, personal checks, and MasterCard and Visa credit cards.

How long does it take to get an appointment? [Show] [Hide]

While we can often accommodate same-day appointments, the typical wait to be seen in our clinic is from 3-5 days, for weekdays and 7–10 days are suggested for a weekend appointment.

What is your cancellation policy? [Show] [Hide]

We prefer a 24 hours notice when canceling an appointment. Tardiness in excess of 15 minutes is considered a forfeit of the appointment.

Clinic hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 8:30pm, Weekends 9:00am – 6:00pm
